The Homestead Lacrosse Club was established in 2005 by parents and students from Homestead and Canterbury High Schools. The first year the club consisted of a varsity boys team with approximately 35 players. Through the hard work and dedication of the players and parents, the boys team offers a varsity and junior varsity team. The girls team offers a varsity and junior varsity team this year. The club also works to support two middle school teams (5/6 & 7/8) run by Kim and Kent Brown and various former Homestead boys players. The club also supports a youth program which is run through the Jorgensens Y and is helped out with help by many Homestead girls and boys present and past players. The club currently offers students from several area high schools the opportunity to play lacrosse. Going into the sixth year the club now has over a hundred high school student athletes involved with playing lacrosse. We have the ONLY girls and middle school teams in the Fort Wayne area.
