The Homestead Lacrosse Club was established in 2005 by parents and students from Homestead and Canterbury High Schools. The first year the club consisted of a varsity boys team with approximately 35 players. Through the hard work and dedication of the players and parents, the club offers a varsity and junior varsity boys team and also varsity girls team and hopes to add junior varsity girls team this year. The club also works to support a middle school program run through the Jorgenson YMCA. The club currently offers students from several area high schools the opportunity to play lacrosse. Going into the fourth year the club now has over a hundred high school student athletes involved with playing lacrosse.
